About 'Sarkar 2' :

Sarkar 2 is the planned sequel to Sarkar (2005). While Sarkar was inspired by Francis Ford Coppola's film The Godfather, the sequel will be completely original.

Even before comparisons could arise, Ram Gopal Varma made it clear that Sarkar 2 will have nothing in common with The Godfather II, in which actor Al Pacino (as the son) takes over the mafia business after the death of his father (Marlon Brando).

Sarkar 2 will have the father (Amitabh Bachchan) continuing to be the central figure. His son (Abhishek Bachchan) will be his right hand. The movie will also have Aishwarya Bachchan playing a very strong character.

The movie's story will reportedly revolve around the politics of rural Maharashtra and Delhi.
